Keisha is a proud graduate of USM's bachelor's in elementary program.
Keisha says, "In 2022 I graduated from the American College of Education (ACE) with a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Digital Learning and Teaching. I believed that there was a lot more that I could build upon with what I learned at USM and being online student at ACE did just that."
She dreams of taking a more active role in the education of the island's youth. Keisha says, "My long term plan is to eventually contribute more to the educational system on the island. I wish to become an Adjunct School Manager which will spear head me into becoming a School Manager. I also would love to improve the island’s curriculum."
Going to USM lets students stay close to home while they study. "If you would like to stay on the island while being close to family, USM is a great way to begin," Keisha says.
Keisha remembers fondly putting on a puppet show for eager attendees alongside her then-fellow educators-in-training. "We definitely got the much needed support from our teacher Ms.Patty Maier," Keisha says.
