Ambitious Nishita Vasandani wants to succeed in a career in marketing and hospitality management someday, and she chose USM to start her journey. She earned her degree in 2024.

Nishita, like so many students, was a employee during the day and a student in the evenings, and she said USM helped prepare her for becoming a well-rounded skilled individual.
Nishita says, "USM gave me the knowledge of what the work experience would be like. Yes, I was working when I was studying at USM, but it taught me more. The teachers motivated me to continue my studies which I am doing. The field trips helped me to see how businesses started out and now are successfully running. I not only gained book knowledge but also gained real-world knowledge by witnessing it. The journey took me out of my comfort zone and kept me busy which I will definitely miss. "
At 22, she is eager to learn and do more and continue studying and advancing herself.
She credits her degree from USM to already taking steps in her career as she recently started a position as a junior notarial secretary.
Nishita says, "The degree that I have received has helped me to secure a job that allows me to learn a lot, continue my further studies and make the people around me proud. Holding a degree is one of my biggest accomplishments, not only am I portraying theoretical education in practical life but I am being acknowledged by my degree"
USM, she says, is a great way for students of all ages to position themselves for more career options and better understanding of the world at large.
Nishita says, "USM is a guiding source for the future of your life. You not only learn about the ongoing situations that are happening in the world but you are being prepared how to face those situations when they come to as soon as you graduate and step out in the real world.”
