Coast Guard Students in Action!

Last Saturday, USM's Pre-BOK Coast Guard students took on an exciting challenge at SXM’s Padel Club!
As part of their training, 6 of the 15 aspiring recruits together with 3 of their academic instructors, participated in a fun yet intense Padel session to boost their endurance for upcoming physical tests. The Pre-BOK program at USM not only prepares students physically but also equips them with essential knowledge in Dutch, Bi-Lingual Studies, Restorative Policy, Social Studies, and Ethics—ensuring they are ready for a future in the Coast Guard.
The Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard plays a vital role in protecting our waters, ensuring safety, and combating illegal activities in the region. Through this training, USM helps students build the discipline, resilience, and teamwork skills needed for a successful career in maritime defense.
