Environmental Planner talks resilient planning at USM

Environmental Planner and researcher Emilie Flamme discussed the challenges facing St. Martin in creating climate resilience policies for both the French and Dutch sides of the island during a lecture at USM on Tuesday.
Flamme shared the findings from her master's thesis research (completed on St. Martin earlier this year) and the result of several weeks of climate-impact mapping to a packed room of guests for this special conversation on climate change and adaptation strategies. She recommended robust and joint approaches from both sides of the island to meet the increasing the dangers of stronger storms and a strained landscape.
