Fall 2022: Lecture on Reinventing the World through Music

Join USM on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the National Institute of Arts (NIA) for a lecture by Dr. Charissa Granger (Lecturer, Cultural Studies) as she addresses how imagination of music can change the world.
Afro-Caribbean and diasporic music-making and performance as decolonizing practices are the focus of Dr. Charissa Granger's teaching and research at The University of the West Indies.

Dr. Granger is interested in decolonial aesthetics, love, and erotic knowledge in music such as steelpan and tambú.
