USM and NWO Call for Engagement with Policy Officers

As part of this initiative, we are hosting Policy Conversations. These sessions are designed to ensure that the research agenda resonates with and is recognized by community members.
The Caribbean Research Programme of the Dutch Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), in collaboration with the University of St. Martin (USM), is excited to announce the development of a comprehensive research agenda in partnership with residents of the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. This agenda seeks to identify the most pressing societal questions and explore how scientific research can provide solutions.

Over the past week, we have been engaging in a series of sessions at USM to gather insights and perspectives. To ensure the research agenda is both relevant and impactful, we are particularly eager to engage with policy workers for the government of St. Maarten. Dr. Carmona Baez, President of USM, emphasized that the unique insights and perspectives of policy officers are vital for addressing the region's challenges through informed and targeted research.

As part of this initiative, we are hosting Policy Conversations. These sessions are designed to ensure that the research agenda resonates with and is recognized by community members. It is crucial that the content of the agenda reflects the real needs and priorities of the people it aims to serve.

The team at USM and NWO invites everyone to participate in these important discussions. Your contribution will help shape a research agenda that truly addresses the societal needs of the Caribbean community.
