USM begins joint education research with regional partners

October 16, 2024

University of St. Martin will be one of the Dutch Caribbean institutions participating in Caribbean Teacher as a Researcher in the 21st Century (CTR21), a three-year research project aimed at expanding the influence and impact of current and future educators.
We, at USM, look forward to collaborating with our partner institutions at the University of Curacao Dr. Moises Da Costa Gomez, University of Aruba and Instituto Pedagogico Arubano, and we thank funding partners at National Regieorgaan Onderwijsonderzoek (NRO) for investing in this valuable research that will impact schools and students in St. Maarten and throughout the Dutch Caribbean.

This collaboration underscores USM's commitment to the development of education within the region through meaningful and actionable research.

We look forward to sharing more information as the project continues, and we invite everyone to follow the main CTR21 page on Facebook for ongoing updates.
