USM campus buzzes with enthusiasm from young readers

University of St. Martin welcomed dozens of elementary school students to campus on Friday for the start of the two-day Reading Festival, an event aimed at bolstering children's interest in stories, books and reading.
Students of USM's Bachelor in Elementary Education program volunteered along with other people in the community to build and decorate sets and host activities for the first graders.
The second day will be tomorrow's public session of the Reading Festival, which will be held at USM from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
