Admission Requirements

PRE-USM

  • Original High School Diploma
  • Original High school transcript (must be sealed and stamped)
  • Exam Results
    • PKL/TKL/PSVE/BEP/CAP
    • Equivalent (to be evaluated)
  • Two (2) passport pictures
  • Copy of passport (verified at USM)
  • Affidavit of Financial Support with supporting documents (insert hyperlink to the AFS form see attached)
  • Proof of residency (Registration form from the Census office)

GED
The GED program is for anyone 16 years and older who does not have a high school diploma or has a vocational training diploma. It will provide persons with a U.S High School (grade 12) equivalent diploma on successful completion of the GED exam.
*persons under 18 years must come with a parent/guardian when applying.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

  • Original High School or College Diploma

    • CXC Certificate
    • Diplôme du Baccalauréat, Relevé du Notes, Livre Scholaire and English translations or
    • GCE certificate

Transfer students

  • An official transcript and course description from each college attended. The transcripts must be sent directly from the college to the office of Admissions at USM

Mature Student Policy
Persons 26 years and older can apply to a degree program under special regulations.

  • Two (2) letters of recommendations from current and previous employers
  • Two (2) passport pictures
  • Copy of passport (verified at USM)
  • Affidavit of Financial Support with supporting documents (insert hyperlink to the AFS form see attached)
  • Proof of residency (Registration form from the Census office)

Application Procedures

  • Step 1

    You can now complete the application form online by clicking here

    -or request an application form from the Student Services Team at the University of St. Martin.

  • Step 2

    Complete all of the required fields and submit your application online or to Student Service Team. Be sure to fill out the forms accurately, completely,  and legibly. Applications without signatures will not be reviewed, therefore please remember to sign your name in the appropriate areas.

    Once you have submitted the application form you will be required to pay an application fee of $25.00. This fee is non-refundable and must be received before the set appropriate deadlines.  (See application deadlines for more information).

    Any applications that are submitted after the set deadline will be considered as a “late application”, and the non-refundable application fee will be increased to $40.00 ($25.00 application fee plus $15.00 late fee).

  • Step 3

    Submit any supporting documentation of your academic records of previous studies (official transcripts, exams results, diploma etc.) These can also be uploaded via the Online Application.

  • Step 4 (either or)

    Option A
    Prepare to take the USM Placement Test in English, Mathematics, Computer, and languages (if required). The scores from the Placement Test will determine each student academic skill level in the respective subject. Students scoring below the established minimum levels are required to enroll in USM skill courses. With the skill courses we will ensure the students and is brought up to the academic level of the USM standards.
    Option B
    Make plans to take the SAT I. Information about the SAT I exams can be obtained at Learning Unlimited Preparatory School (Test Center Code 91464) or St. Dominic High School (Test Center Code 91466). Students must score 500 or higher in English and Mathematics to be exempt from that portion of the USM Placement Test.


 

Side Notes

Note:
All documents must be original or certified true copies. Unofficial photocopies cannot be accepted. If the original documents are not in English or Dutch you must submit a certified translation by an official translator.

*International students are required to forward to the university a tuition deposit of US$500.00. This deposit is credited to your initial billing.

Re-Admission
Any student who has been absent from the University of St. Martin for one full year or more, must apply for re-admission. The student must submit an application form and affidavit of financial support, accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of $25. Transcripts of any course work completed at another college must also be submitted.
